Susan is a Vermont native who graduated from Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park, Vermont. She graduated from the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia where she received a degree in General Science Education. While at UC, Susan was a four year varsity letter recipient, and two year captain for the NCAA Division II women’s rowing team at Charleston. She became a member of the Division II All-American rowing team in 2013 and continued her rowing career by becoming an assistant coach at Northwestern State University where her team recently won their conference title, and continued on to nationals where they won a silver medal; meaning they are ranked second in the nation. This all began a mere three years ago when she moved to Natchitoches, Louisiana for her primary job. Susan is a Student Life Advisor at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, a residential school of excellence for high achieving high school students. Susan has just completed her first year of graduate school at Northwestern State University in Student Affairs in Higher Education and looks forward to escaping the Louisiana heat here in West Virginia, home of her alma mater. This will mark Susan’s sixth year on staph, where she will act as the Assistant Director/STEAM programs.
